Middlesex held its annual county closed competition on the 22nd and 23rd February at the Cumberland club. Many congratulations to all the winners and runners-up who hold bragging rights for the whole year!

Alex Portz and Anthony Rogal were runner-up and winner respectively in the Men’s open draw, whilst Anya Shah and Emily Peach treated the crowd to a 5 set thriller in which Anya cinched the victory in the Women’s Open draw.
Pascal Jacobs (L) won the Mixed B Division with James Lanagan (R) taking the silver
Nicolas Caseris surprised himself by winning the Mixed C Draw, pictured right with runner-up Graham Ainsby on the left
Over 35’s was won by Michael Smoczyk (R) pictured with runner-up Fahad Ali (L)
Over 45’s Jack Aboody (R) beat Sebastian Keuchel (L) in the final
Ross Tyler (L) was delighted to steal victory over Simon Thompson (R) in a 5 setter in the Men’s over 55 draw
Kevin Connors (L) was delighted to narrowly escape a fifth game vs Jonathan Potter (R) who was just there but couldn’t take it over the line! Well done to both gentlemen on their medals but also in winning the intercounty for us as well (see below)
Diane Lanigan (L) was delighted to add to her trove of trophies by coming runner-up to Sofia Pinckard (R) in the Women’s B Division.
